Larrie Cook (July 15, 1947 – July 30, 2024)

Celebrating Larrie’s 77th birthday a bit early, on July 5th

On the morning of July 31, Heather let us know that Larrie had left us at 4:01 the previous afternoon. She and he were listening to La Vie en Rose, their wedding song, when Larrie passed.

Larrie was one of the original Loopers, and I’m sure that every one of us has memories of walking and talking with him on one of the North Shore trails, as well as almost everywhere else in the Lower Mainland, over the past decade. Larrie was a consummate gentleman, and future Looper walks will be much diminished by his absence. Perhaps we can take comfort picturing him enjoying a chilled beer at some sort of celestial Afters, in good company.
